Foundations, shelters and individual persons looking for a flight partner can register themselves at this page .

I want to accompany an animal, how can I register myself?
Are you flying from a destination abroad? Then it is possible that there are foundations/shelters looking for flight partners from this destination. Do you want to accompany an animal? You can register here.

Does accompanying a dog or cat cost money?
Accompanying a dog or cat does not cost the traveler money. The shelter or foundation takes care of all the costs for the flight/transit of the dog or cat.

How old do I need to be to be able to register as flight partner?
To register as a flight partner you must be over eighteen years of age. 

I can’t find the airline I’m flying with in the subscription form?
Not all airlines allow dogs and cats on their flights. The following airlines do not allow dogs and cats on their flights:

  • Ryanair
  • Easyjet

Do the board members and volunteers of Stichting Vlieg een Dier get paid?
The board members and volunteers of Stichting Vlieg een Dier provide all of their work on voluntary basis and therefore receive no payment for their services.

How many days before my flight can I register as a flight partner?
Obviously the sooner we receive your registration to become a flight partner there is an increased chance that we will be able to match foundations/shelters and flight partners. It is possible to register up to the day prior to your flight, although this reduces the chances of a match. Therefore we would encourage flight partners to register as early as possible.

Why do I need to sign the Data Processor Agreement as shelter/foundation to complete my subscription?
If an organisation involves other parties to process personal data, you must enter into a Data Processor Agreement with these organisations according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

All collection, processing, transfer and storage of personal data is regulated, and referred to simply as processing. The Data Processor Agreement shall state the purpose of the processing, what data is processed, how they shall be protected, and more.

Since Stichting Vlieg een Dier shares personal data with other foundations/shelters/persons which/who are looking for flight partners, we are legally obliged to enter into a Data Processor Agreement.

In short: A Data Processor Agreement is a legally obliged agreement with at third party  which regulates the processing of personal data.
